A UN Security Council Resolution dedicated to addressing Somali piracy specifically. It authorized naval forces to enter Somali territorial waters to deter and disrupt piracy for a period of six months, and encouraged states to increase and coordinate efforts to counter piracy off the coast of Somalia.
