UN Security Council Resolution 2015

UN Security Council Resolution 2015

Stresses the need for states to prosecute persons suspected of piracy and armed robbery at sea and notes that the failure to hold pirates accountable enables offensive acts. It requests that the Transitional Federal Government (TFG) and regional authorities adopt a complete set of counter-piracy laws, including post-conviction transfer and imprisonment agreements. The resolution calls upon UNODC, UNDP, and Somali authorities to build prison capacity.
