Pittsburgh falls under the first category. This lovely city surprised me in a good way. 

First of all, I got lost. Well, I can’t really say that I was completely lost because I could have used maps to find where I was exactly and how I’d get to my hotel room. I just decided not to use them and rely on my memory. My memory failed me.

Long story short, I met a guy who showed me the directions to my hotel. He was a street performer and insisted that he wanted to take me home for security purposes. He closed down his work and escorted me to my hotel. We talked and laughed so much that my belly still hadn’t fully recovered. It’s still hurting from laughing.

Through its windows, you will see fantastic views of the Allegheny River and the surrounding wildlife, and inside the house, you’ll be greeted by a rare Victorian-meets-Medieval kind of experience.

Even the outside of the home resembles that of a castle, which is exactly what the creator of the home, Charles “Chuck” B. Brown, wanted when he was first planning his one-of-a-kind home in an amazing spot.
