When the opportunity to explore the Caribbean coastline came about, of course I said a resounding yes! And what better part of the Caribbean coastline to explore than the breathtaking Riviera Maya!
The Riviera Maya has been on my travel bucket list for as long as I can remember. I had always dreamed of exploring its picturesque waterfalls, tropical jungles, ancient ruins, and gorgeous beaches.
I spent the past couple of weeks marveling at the magical natural wonders of the Riviera Maya. I walked barefoot on the white-sand beach every morning and evening just to watch the sun rise and set. I swear sunrise and sunset over the Caribbean waters are more beautiful than any other place I’ve been to.
Apart from the beach walks, I also loved checking out the area’s most famous towns, Tulum and Playa del Carmen. These towns have the best historical ruins, stunning shorelines, and breathtaking turquoise-blue waters.
During my daily escapades, I encountered lovely locals and like-minded tourists who made my experience more memorable. Everyone was friendly and ready to share any knowledge about the area, including the best local shopping and hangout joints. What I loved most was the fact that the towns were not as crowded as most tourist towns.
